Lessons and Workshops Step by step, creative and mindful
Since 2002, I give SHODO calligraphy lessons mainly based on "one to one" private sessions as well as group classes and workshops. Through my teaching experiences in Japan and Europe with multiple age groups and backgrounds, I developed an original effective yet creative way of teaching SHODO. Which I believe works for everyone.
In 2019, I started giving private online live lessons only for long distance learners. However during the spring and summer time 2020, I've got many requests to give online-live-sessions and courses. So I finally completed the 'Shodo-online' program which I am quite pleased with and began to teach the art of Shodo online 'live' and 'interactive' - of course with my mindfulness-based-method. To my surprise, this mindfulness way has been positively working and supporting the global calligraphy community throughout, much more than I expected! HAPPY PRACTICE!
I focus on bringing the balance of mind and body together as well as student's individual mindfulness process by specially designed practices. So students can learn little by little how to concentrate on their own Qi flow, conduct and apply it with brush and ink onto the paper. My lesson is totally tailor suited to individual level/speed/interest/needs and provides the most suitable text for the student's technical development in every lesson. The calligraphy texts are based on seasonal, classics, haiku, tanka, Zen and being prepared for improving sensitive stages of skills, techniques and calligraphy styles.
♧ My original Mindfulness-Method and the concept of teaching SHODO calligraphy is focused on : ●mind and body connection ●discovering individual inner quality and peace ●"hands-on" guidance inner balance ●"Here and Now" momentum flow ●mindfulness process ●de-stressing the body tension ●conscious breathing ●raising Qi(energy) flow and awareness
Currently I give many online-live based sessions/courses/workshop, please have a look at each section. From the menu above or links below.
